Indiana Accreditation Project
|
Accreditation is a voluntary process that improves the quality of early care and education programs. Accreditation is an indication that staff are prepared to meet the needs of children and their families and are committed to ongoing evaluation and improvement. Accredited programs provide:
- Excellent education
- Professional staff
- High standards
- Quality Care
- Commitment
- Leadership
|
The Indiana Accreditation Project provides assistance to early childhood care and education centers, ministries, family child care homes, and school-age programs that wish to begin or are currently involved in the accreditation process.
Key components of the project include:
- Financial support given at each phase of the accreditation process, including assistance with the fees associated with national accreditation systems.
- Personalized support provided by professionals who are trained to assist programs in achieving accreditation.
|
Everyone benefits from accredited programs!
- Children in accredited programs receive nurturing care in a safe, healthy environment.
- Parents are reassured that their children are in responsive, safe, educational, and stimulating environments.
- Employers are rewarded with employees with improved attendance, higher moral, and productivity because their children are well-cared for while they are at work.
- Communities with accredited programs are stronger because families and children are better supported.
- Programs themselves have highly trained staff and are committed to ongoing evaluation and improvement. What's more, accreditation is Level 4 of Indiana Paths to QUALITY.
