Summary:  The Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children, Inc. (Indiana AEYC) hosts several Public Policy Academies throughout the year.  These academies are designed to help our members and concerned citizens better understand issues affecting families and young children at local, state, and national levels. Participants of the academies receive updates about recently passed, pending, and upcoming legislation and legislative matters, the opportunity to meet and talk candidly with policy and decision-makers at all levels, and tools for championing the needs of Indiana’s young children and their families.

The upcoming Summer 2010 Indiana AEYC Public Policy Academy, which will be an interactive, multi-site live broadcast, will feature live link to Washington, D.C., with the incoming Executive Director for the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Dr. Jerlean Daniel, as well as representatives from the Indiana Bureau of Child Care (Division of Family Resources, Family and Social Services Administration) and other policy makers.

The Summer 2010 Indiana AEYC Public Policy Academy has two purchase options per broadcast site: The Indiana AEYC Public Policy Academy (registration fee: $10) The Indiana AEYC Public Policy Academy & Networking Luncheon (registration fee: $20)
