COMPETENCIES
1. Pedagogical. Creating a learning community of children & adults that promotes optimal child development and healthy families.
2. Organization and Systems. Establishing systems for smooth program functioning & managing staff to carry out the mission of the program's fiscal resources. Managing organizational changes & establishing systems to mentor & evaluate organizational performance.
3. Human Resources. Recruiting, selecting, orienting, coaching & mentoring personnel. Overseeing systems for the supervision, retention & professional development of staff that affirm program values and promote a shared vision.
4. Collaborative. Establishing partnerships with program staff, family members, board members, community representatives, civic leaders & other stakeholders to design and improve services for children and their families.
5. Public Policy. Advocating on behalf of high-quality services to meet the needs of children and families.
